13 Channels Give Way to Infinite Channel Universe

A Brief History of Thirteen Channels

They were a band with legendary lineage. Seemingly destined for greatness then instead of exploding on to the scene, they exploded on to the windscreen like a bumblebee meeting some Highway Star.
As for some history... Well the fan base had remained largely in tact through the band's punkish early years in 90s(a la "Deep Sea Diving in Scandinavia")into the 2000s even in spite of their incessant meddling with monikers. Starting out as The Unprofessionals, the band struggled to make ends meet before finally hitting townie famedom with the college-pub staple "Beers across the fence" peforming as The Fags.

A crisis of identity followed when a rival band from across the pond exploited a loophole in international law and stole the FAGS name. As the legal vultures swooped in threatening to pluck any and all vestiges of fortune, some members splintered off to experiment with their craft as "Bush and Gore". Thankfully the crisis was relatively shortlived and the lads re-emerged in 2011 as "13 Channels".

Always hard pressed to place the band's music in any one genre, critics often try to compare where comparison is futile. Said one surly critic of the Fags: "although the name is unlikely to gain much traction among North Americans, the music of The Fags is unmistakabley original and unreservedly Hetero- genius... ...bound to appeal to disenchanted Dead Heads who couldn't stomach the uninspired rubbish from the likes of David Matthews or Matthew Good". 13 Channels were the real deal. They've climbed up the beanstalk and ventured down the rabbit hole. Indeed, they are the very bastard offspring of the mothers of invention. But as far we know, the band is in some state of prolonged hiatus, rumored to be at creative loggerheads. But we still have this site as an archive of their unreleased material from the famous Pudding Flat Jams. Enjoy...
